Changing the density (viscosity) of the silicone oil in the shock absorber changes the amount of its compression. The higher the density (viscosity) of the oil, the greater the rebound of the shock absorber and its greater damping compression. Lower density (viscosity) has the opposite effect.

Different oil densities allow for individual adjustment of the shock absorber characteristics depending on the model type, driving technique used and terrain.
