Specifications

Intermountain HO Scale EMD SD40-2 Features: Fully Assembled Model; Sharp Lettering and Painting; finely molded details that are prototype specific; metal wire grab irons; etched metal radiator and dynamic brake grilles; cab interior; illuminated ditch lights (when appropriate); and Kadee couplers. NOTE: On most models, the horns and sunshades are not on the models as they are packaged in a small parts bag and have to be installed by the modeler.

All Intermountain HO Scale Locomotives are equipped with dual-mode DCC decoders, so they may be run or standard DC or DCC layouts. Models which are sound equipped (item numbers ending with a letter 'S') feature SoundTraxx Tsunami Sound System that will work on DC and DCC.
